The
325th Glider Infantry Regiment Skin is
a WW2 Stlye Gaming skin for Call of Duty 2 for PC. Based on
historical accuracy, the uniform was worn by the Glider Infantry
durning Operation Overlord (D-Day) in June of 1944.
The
men were issued basic infantry uniform with the M1941 field
jacket, M1938 dismounted leggings, and the OD trousers with
the cargo pocket. The Netting on the helmet was provided to
all soldiers before they began the operation. To date, I haven't
really seen any good skins that had netting on the helmet.
The rendering of the netting took several hours but the out
come was amazing.
The
detail of the the soliders equipment is as close to perfection
as it can get with the limitations of the game. Call of Duty
2 is one of the best looking games (especally WW2) out on
the market today. Taking advantage of the games graphics,
these skins were inhanced to twice the graphic detail to that
of stock COD2. The draw back of this (a later discovery) is
that its extremely demanding on systems resulting in players
having to turn down their graphic settings for the game.
The
Glider Rider Troops had their divisional patches on their
left upper arm. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of COD2,
this wasn't not possible to do on all of the uniforms mainly
the ones wearing the M1941 field jacket. The Divisional patch
is show on all uniforms that do not wear this jacket.

are some screenshots of the uniforms in actions. You can see
